The Island of the Moon

July 28, 2016  | Ayada Maldives | By Maldives Tour Operators - OV Holidays
As soon as I stepped into the reception area of Ayada, which means "The Island of the Moon" , I could feel that this is a resort which ingeniously utilizes a very aesthetic Turkish theme.
The Island of the Moon

Turkish style chandeliers with colorful bulbs hang from the ceilings; different sorts and sizes of ethnic vases and urns; and eye-shaped amulets hung on the room number plates believed to drive off bad luck all enrich the Turkish ambiance. This uniquely constructed resort is equipped with various kinds of beach, lagoon, and ocean villa categories. Whatever category you pick you will have the privacy of swimming in your own pool because every single villa is complemented with a private plunge pool.

Zero Degree Restaurant

My lunch was served at Zero Degree. Equipped with an infinity pool and a bar, this is an excellent place to hang out for a light lunch or a cocktail in the evening. Some tables and chairs are arranged on the shallow side of the pool. If you love soaking your feet in the pool water while getting refreshed after sips of cocktail, just like what I did, this would be the right place for you.

Ocean Breeze Restaurant

Wide arrays of wine and its complementary cheese and other snacks could be enjoyed at Ile de Joie. Nestled in the midst of Ocean Villas, it is the perfect pick of place to savor the breathtaking sunset view in the afternoon.

Sun Set Ride

Fishing could not be more romantic! Not without the idyllic sunset view which I witnessed at Ayada’s waters. The ocean was very serene. The marine breeze gently blew over my hair and shoulders. The twilight panorama was saturated with luminous tones of red, orange, yellow, purple, and blue. It was simply amazing! Even though only a few of my company were able to catch fish, (well, some others caught “fake fish” which were corals), we sailed back to the resort’s island feeling awed by the nature’s wonders.

Wedding at Ayada Maldives

Ayada dedicates a special spot to couples who desire to tie the knot at the resort. The Wedding Chapel is a cozy and neat pavilion surrounded by flowy white see-through drapes. Pretty white garden chairs and a small platform for the priest complete the whole elegance of the chapel. Lies outside the pavilion is spacious grassy land suitable for dancing, partying or any activity that the bride and groom would love to include. It is truly a romantic spot that exudes the charm which will bewitch any lovebirds to be united in a sacred ceremony, or even long married couples who wish to renew their marriage vows.

Excellent service! These guys where very professional and kind and answered any questions with quick responses during my initial planning of my holiday. They have me the best rate and deal inclusions over any other agent I contacted and are based locally which means they have better access and knowledge. They had staff who greeted us upon our arrival and were well organised making arrangement for our transfers to and from the airport and resort.
They would give us updates and contact us and were always quick. I will be using OV Holidays again for my next trip.
