Dining at its Edge!

Dining at its Edge!

Many restaurants offer fine dining in the Maldives, however not quite as unique as the Le 1947 Restaurant, courtesy of Cheval Blanc, the French White Horse resort, which also refers to itself as the Maison, which means “home” in French. The hallway leading us to Le 1947 is romantically lit up, reflecting its bright, firy, red wall on the right side and wall pillars with spaces between each other on the left side. The year 1947 is to commemorate the finest year for Chateau Cheval Blanc's wine. The restaurant exudes a posh, dignified yet graceful ambience with white walls, crystal lights, and flowy drapes hung from the ceiling to add the flair.

Once we are seated, we are offered an array of pashminas by one of the waiters, in case we feel cold since all of us are wearing dresses, to note that this restaurant requires formal attires. A seven-course menu has been prepared for us, a high expectation that we set prior to entering the restaurant, and indeed each and every course is so splendidly done and exhibited, a festival of ambrosia, leaving all of our five senses satisfied, talk about exactness. Even the silver cutleries steal our first attention, being intricately designed with floral patterns on them.
